Louie
Levy As a Poet
Louie Levy is
preeminently a poet of peace. We find in his poems the
beauty of vital and natural affirmations of human nature.
Much of Levy’s greatness rests on the verbal beauties
and immortal lines ‘ Should all of human dogmatic brain,
mind their \ own faith and not of another, most wars will
stop and \ not start’ ("Ponder For Peace", Taj
Mahal Review, June 2006), ‘reach out with arms
outstretched with Love’ ("Human Frailty: UN
Reposed"). All his poems are singularly powerful in
describing how a person grows or decays; how the blemish
of war and naked violence ruins our planet: more...

New Utopia - Rich Haiku Poems With Diversity of Religious Awareness

The magnificent words and symbolisms regarding the Bodhi Tree are the foundation for the theme of this wonderful book, New Utopia by Kumar, which is consistent throughout its pages. The essence of the theme starts with the Endless Helix lines by Ban'ya Natsuishi, to the concept of End of Summer by Sayumi Kamakura, and the illustrious words of Adam Donaldson Powell articulated in the forward section.

GAYTUDE-Critical
Analysis
Albert
Russo and Adam Donaldson Powell's Gaytude,
a poetic journey around the world, makes it evident that
the gay poems always have a distinctive voice,
because a gay poet suffers from a sense of ostracism, of
being excluded by others due to difference. The tradition

Platonic friendship with a boy has always been

Two
essays on publishing by Victoria Valentine
(publisher/editor/author,
USA
) and Adam Donaldson Powell (author/reviewer,
Norway
)
As
a writer and independent small press publisher, I have a
grasp of both sides of the issue - or possibly a better
word would be quandary, of the writer seeking publication;
not only seeking publication but also desiring well
deserved compensation for the hard work they have done.
Believe it or not - we're both in the same boat.
It's just as difficult for me to promote and market my
products as it is for most writers to have manuscripts or
poetry published in a quality, paying magazine - or any
fine non-paying magazine for that matter. Plain and
simple; there are more writers than there are markets.

New Utopia (HAIKU) by Santosh Kumar, Rochak Publishing, India, 2008, pp. 52
$9 Paperback, ISBN: 978-81-903812-0-8
Much has been written regarding the history, form, essence and literary regulations of haiku-writing. I would here present the premise that effective artistic communication has little to do with limitations, but rather everything to do with the author's success in engaging the reader in a «pas de deux» which elicits subjective experience and endless co-creation.
